| “ | DRESS UP FOR YULETIDE!
ATTENTION: This assignment is LIMITED TIME ONLY, so complete it before the end of the year! Also...take special care when equipping this elf suit around other dwarves - it does not make you bulletproof. Regards, Management |

The Yuletide Elf is a special creature found only during the Yuletide event. This diminutive creature acts as an experience multiplier, giving each player x2
upon finding, defeating and capturing the Elf.
The Yuletide Elf himself resembles a Dwarf, but even shorter. At around a foot tall, he is one of the smallest mobs in the game. His ears are bigger, pointier and more pronounced than a Dwarf and he wears Yuletide-appropriate outfit whilst carrying a giant candy cane. When he runs, he leaves a feint trail of snowflakes behind. Despite his diminutive size, the Yuletide Elf should not be underestimated. He is both blistering fast, surprisingly tough (As tough as a Glyphid Praetorian) and is able to somehow sprint/walk on both the walls and the ceiling.
Therefore, trying to take him down is a challenge. The best class to do this is to play as Scout, as the Scout's Grappling Hook allows him to easily keep up with the Elf. If hit, the Elf 'bleeds' a confetti of Yuletide candy.

Once taken down, the Elf's body goes limp and becomes a heavy object that has to be carried with two hands. As an object, the Yuletide Elf would proceed to either fall or eject from whatever explosion that killed him. This can be a bit irritating given that he may fall down in either a inaccessible or dangerous place.
Moreover, compared to the Best Wurst Beer mug, the Yuletide Elf has a faint yellow glow from his decorative lights, making it a bit hard to find him directly. Once killed, the elf becomes a highlighted object on the terrain scanner, much like other heavy objects such as jadiz, gunk seeds, compressed gold, etc. The elf is shown on the terrain scanner in the shape of the elf's hat.
Once he has been deposited inside Molly, the Elf's body would grant each player the double XP in the same vein as the Best Wurst Beer did for Oktoberfest.

Trivia[]
- It is unknown if the Yuletide Elf constitute the entire Elf race, or is just a sub-species of Elf.
- The Yuletide Elf bears shocking resemblance to Gnome bobble head of the Abyss Bar, suggesting a connection between the two.
- His appearance obviously mimics that of Santa's helpers and the old, classical definition of Elf, rather than the Tolkien-esque 'fair maiden' archetype.
- After completing the Hunt the Elf Assignment, the player would be rewarded with a cosmetic making them look like the Yuletide Elf.
- Given the fact that Management had apparently 'lost these' like the Best Wurst Beer during the 2022 Oktoberfest, combine with them dropping mechanically dead once defeated. There is a chance that these 'Elves' may in fact, be toy robots, not actual Elves. However, Mission Control also describes them as self-aware and sentient. So their actual nature is vaguely ambiguous.
- The Elf is the first creature that could act as an object. With the Spring Bunny being the second mob to have that effect and the Halloween Skull being the third.
