The Salt Pits of Hoxxes was once the location of a huge underground lake. It dried up billions of years ago and left huge crystallized deposits of red salt. Red salt - though worthless - tastes really good on glyphid omelettes.
— Ingame description

The Salt Pits are one of the biomes of Hoxxes IV, located in the east of the planet. They consist of caverns filled with lots of large (although worthless) red crystals. The ground is also filled with small spiky red crystals which are simply crushed once stepped on. They have lots of big, open chambers, connected by tunnels. There's also white crystals which produce bright light, unless destroyed.

Hazards

The biome-specific hazard for the Salt Pits are Unstable Crystals, which are located on the ceiling. They can fall down on an enemy or ally which greatly damages them, however they will not fall unless dislodged by weaponry or explosions.

Enemies

Any enemies can be encountered in the Salt Pits, including Spitball Infectors, Cave Leeches and Glyphid Dreadnoughts.

Biome Features
