Powerstone Harvest is a mission type in Deep Rock Galactic.
Management has detected strange energy signatures believed to originate from rare Powerstones. Unfortunately, the rock formations containing these Powerstones are impenetrable to standard scanners aboard the Space Rig. This means the Drop Pod will land above the Powerstone cave. To harvest these Powerstones, dwarves are being sent in with a modified Drop Pod that can be hooked up to a Powerstone to drill through the impenetrable rock to retrieve the Powerstones.

Power Module[]
Once the Drop Pod has landed, a small power module will be deployed nearby. Find a Powerstone and attach it to the power module. This will give the Drop Pod the power it needs to begin the decent through the super dense rock. The creatures of Hoxxes seem to be agitated when these Powerstones are uncovered and activated, so be prepared for a fight!
Drop Pod Decent[]
After dwarves locate the initial Powerstone and attach it to the Drop Pod, a 15 second countdown timer begins before triggering the descent towards the main cave containing the remaining Powerstones. The descent is a one-way trip, and dwarves left behind will not be able to be revived. The tunnel created by the decent is unstable and collapses behind the Drop Pod.
Upon reaching the main cavern, the Drop Pod will fall a significant distance and become damaged as it lands. Dwarves can expect increased enemy activity due to the disruption caused by the forceful entry into the new cave.
Powerstone Harvest[]
Following the descent powered by the attached Powerstone, the Drop Pod arrives at the designated cavern containing the bulk of the mission's target Powerstones. The cavern environment will differ significantly from the initial landing zone. Expect unique geological formations and hazards specific to this Powerstone-rich region.
Dwarves must locate and mine the scattered Powerstones throughout the cavern. These Powerstones may be embedded in the walls, nestled within cave formations, or protected by Stone Guardian packs.
Harvested Powerstones need to be deposited into the Drop Pod. A visual indicator will display how many stones are needed to complete the mission. The M.U.L.E. is not available for this mission type as deposited Powerstones interfere with its path-finding.
Drop Pod Repair[]
The Drop Pod sustains damage during the landing and requires repairs before initiating the ascent back to the Space Rig. There are 4 different repair stages that take place, with a delay of 30 seconds between each repair. These repairs can be done at the same time as the Powerstone Harvest stage.
Extraction Phase[]
After all the Powerstones have been deposited, and the Drop Pod has been repaired, the button on the Drop Pod can be pressed to begin the extraction sequence. Board the Drop Pod and escape before the swarms become too large to manage.
Enemy Spawning[]
Depositing a Powerstone into the Drop Pod triggers a Swarm. The potent energy released disrupts the cave's ecosystem, attracting waves of hostile creatures. The difficulty and size of the swarm scales with the number of Powerstones deposited.
Stone Guardians are unique creatures to this mission type, and are only found in the lower caves with the bulk of the Powerstones. They are extremely tough, slow moving bugs with a powerful attack. From a distance they look like ordinary rocks, but once a Powerstone is extracted, they will wake up, uncurl and attack nearby dwarves.
Objective and cave length and complexity[]
The amount of Powerstones to harvest differs depending on the cave complexity and length. The payout is affected by Hazard Bonus.

- Attach 1 Powerstone to the Drop Pod
- Ride the Drop Pod into the core
- Harvest 3-6 Powerstones from the core
