On-site Refining is a mission type in Deep Rock Galactic.
About
On-Site Refining involves calling in Pump Jacks onto three Liquid Morkite Wells, then building Pipelines to connect each Pump Jack to the Refinery. First, segments of Pipeline frames must be laid out and connected to a Pump Jack. Then, each Pipeline segment must be constructed individually to activate the full Pipeline. Pipeline junctions can be destroyed with Pickaxe attacks, so they can be repositioned if needed.
Once all three Pipelines are constructed, the Refinery is able to be started up by pressing a button on its control panel. The noise produced by the Refinery will attract Creatures, so the dwarves must defend it until the refining process is complete. Occasionally, some of the Pipeline junctions on each Pipeline will leak, interrupting the refining progress. Leaking Pipeline junctions are indicated on the Terrain Scanner by pulsing red orbs. The longer the Pipeline, the more leaks will spring along it. Refining will resume once all leaks have been repaired.
After the refining has been completed, the control panel button will activate again. Pressing it will launch the Cargo Rocket, completing the primary objective.
Dwarves can travel along Pipelines by "grinding" along them using boards.
