Morkite is a basic Mineral found in many of the mission modes of Deep Rock Galactic. The mission objective often asks you to find a certain amount of this mysterious mineral, ranging from 150 to 450 units of it. Upon completion of this objective, the drop pod may be called from the M.U.L.E (Molly) and the mission may be ended once the M.U.L.E unit has returned to the drop pod. It is currently unknown what the actual use and/or purpose of Morkite is.

Appearance

It is a shiny, aqua-blue mineral that looks like a large deposit of Cavansite, a type of crystal commonly found in Pune, India. It is one of the few minerals in the game that can be seen gleaming in the dark distance of cave systems and tunnels.

Locations

Morkite can be found in any environment, and in any position; this means it can be found relatively close to the ground where it can easily be mined, or all the way up in the center of a large cavern's ceiling. It seems to spawn in a bit more frequently than the mineral Nitra.

Trivia

• Morkite Ale was hinted on the Public Service Announcement (PSA) Boards before Update 17 hit. Once the update came out it makes an appearance under the name "Dark Morkite" in the Abyss Bar.
• Since Update 18, "Dark Morkite" boosts the amount of Morkite collected per piece.
