The Glyphid Spawn is a hostile creature found on Hoxxes IV. It is a miniscule, infantile Glyphid loosely resembling the Glyphid Swarmer, distinguished from the latter by its slightly smaller size and its body always being mint green in color regardless of biome.
Glyphid Spawns are exclusively spawned by the Glyphid Brood Nexus and thus do not spawn naturally within the biome. While dealing roughly the same amount of damage as Glyphid Swarmers, Glyphid Spawns have less health compared to their Swarmer counterparts.
When a Brood Nexus is destroyed, multiple Glyphid Spawns explode out of it (unless the Nexus is frozen). All strategies effective against Swarmers should be even more effective on Spawns.
Combat[]
Glyphid Spawns will run at players to engage in melee combat, jumping towards nearby targets when they get close enough.
