The Driller is one of the four playable dwarves in the game. Equipped with twin drills, he can tunnel through rock and obstacles to clear a path for the team. The Driller also has a flamethrower to show the Bugs how HOT Dwarves can be, and an accurate, low-damage high-capacity sidearm for backup. The Driller's twin drills are also useful for getting up to high places that the zip-line or grapple cannot; safely.
About
“ | As the Driller, you'll be equipped with a set of Titanium Powerdrills. Your job is to clear any blocked tunnels and obstacles in the path of your team, and in combat you are a force to be reckoned with: Your drills make short work of most enemies up close, and for longer range engagements you are equipped with a heavy duty Flamethrower. |
— Class Description |
As the Driller, it is your job to create stairways, pathways and clear obstacles for your team using your Titanium Powerdrills. You are equipped to control large hordes of enemies using your CRSPR Flamethrower which will slowly incinerate your foes, and instantly kill weaker creatures. While your flamethrower is your first priority, you are equipped with a dependable Subata 120 pistol sidearm, and three Satchel Charges for dealing with beefier opponents.

Basic Tips and Strategy
- CRSPR Flamethrower
- Be mindful of the Flamethrower's ammunition.
- The Flamethrower can make walls of fire which instantly kills Glyphid Swarmers and Glyphid Spawns that come in contact.
- The Flamethrower deals bonus damage to Mactera enemy types, it also deals bonus damage to Glacial Strata enemy variations.
- Is capable of burning Spider Webs.
- Cryo Cannon
- Freezing a Glyphid Exploder will prevent it from detonating, a Glyphid Praetorian from emitting poison gas and a Glyphid Brood Nexus from creating Glyphid Spawns.
- Pair up Cryo Cannon's freezing with the Vampire perk to restore health easier.
- Reinforced Power Drills
- Use the drills to quickly mine tunnels for unreachable areas.
- During Salvage Operations the driller can dig out any walls around the triangulation bubble for more room to defend.
- The Vampire perk works with drills, pair it up with a damage upgrade for small healing
- Satchel Charge
- Three Satchel Charges are enough to take down a Dreadnought's armor (first health bar).
- You can place down multiple Satchel Charges by pressing the reload key.
