The BRT7 Burst Fire Gun (also known as the "BRT") is the Gunner's alternative secondary weapon. It is a handgun with a long barrel and a slender profile. The weapon's magazines are stored internally, and the port is accessed by pulling the knob above the weapon's handle to reveal it.
The Burt fires three bullets in a rapid burst with one pull of the trigger. One burst of bullets all follow the same spread pattern, though rapid fire with the weapon will cause bursts to fly in random directions. At base level, eight bursts can be fired before needing to reload.

There are five tiers of modifications and each tier has two to three upgrades. Only one modification can be equipped per tier.

||Meticulous sealing lets you get a bit more power out of each round and the attention to detail improves how easily the magazine slots in.|
|You can carry even more ammo but the rate of fire needs to be toned back to avoid a jam and please take more care while reloading.|
|A new shape to the bullet delivers a lot more damage but it's odd size means fewer rounds in the clip and a bit less ammo overall.|
|After impacting terrain, these high-tech bullets convert in to electro-minelets that will electrocute anything unfortunate enough to come close. However they don't last forever and the rounds themselves take more space in the clip and deal less direct damage.|
|Convert the BRT to fire small flechettes instead of slugs. Increases overall ammo and magazine size as well as reducing recoil but at the cost of raw damage.|
|It ain't pretty but this overclock will tear apart anything that gets close, though it gets a bit iffy at range.|
Understanding the Weapon
Electro Minelets is an Unstable Overclock
Each Bullet that touches a surface automatically turns into a Minelet after 0.1 sec, and arms for detonation after 0.8 sec. Creatures that go near it will trigger the Minelet and get 6 seconds of Electrocution (3 Electric Damage every 0.25s, and x0.2 Movement speed), each Minelet can only be triggered once. By having the mod "Blowthrough Rounds" it is possible to shoot through Creatures to hit a surface, otherwise the Bullets will not turn into a Minelet.
Each modification that is purchased advances a mastery bar by one unit.
